First is a Super Saturday project that was never finished from two years ago. I painted the wood letters red and then added several different Stampin' Up ribbons to add a little accent and color. It was nice to get this project done. I might go back and add some distress to the wood.

This week....
Here are two projects that I made to add to my space:
First is a Super Saturday project that was never finished from two years ago. I painted the wood letters red and then added several different Stampin' Up ribbons to add a little accent and color. It was nice to get this project done. I might go back and add some distress to the wood.
Next, is a inspirational board that defines the idea of CREATIVE. It is a vinyl lettering set that is available from Stampin' Up. The saying didn't quite fit right on the board that I had so I decided to switch it up and then I added some vinyl circles in a variety of shapes cut out with my punches (yes the ones on the wall) and then some flowers that were cut out using the new and FABULOUS Big Shot. I have so many projects to make using this handy little machine. I always wanted a Sizzix cutter and when Stampin' Up came out with this one, I had to get it. I have so much paper on hand and this will be the perfect way to start using some of it up. YEAH!

First Project
Here is my first project posted here on this handy dandy crafty website....
This is my new work and crafting space that will help to make this web page possible. We started painting the room right before Labor Day weekend. We wanted to do something different instead of just painting all of the walls, so between David's ideas and my own ideas we came up with this horizontal stripe. It turned out pretty good, not too much color, but just enough to accent the walls.
Then the weekend after painting we set up this desk area. We had purchased the desk from RC Willey. The plan was originally for David to build something that would match the rest of the furniture, but let's be serious... I might have never gotten my area done then!!! There are just too many other projects that he has to work on right now. This desk fits in just fine with everything. Then the shelf and other accessories are from IKEA. We aren't huge IKEA-ites, but they do have some handy dandy crafty things. I must say I LOVE having all of my punches up and having them so readily available. It makes things so easy to use.
You can see David's contribution to the space. A desk wouldn't be complete with out a HUGE computer monitor. Thanks honey!
It is so nice to have a place that helps to keep my stuff organized. And the best part is that I can leave my projects out even if they are undone. I don't even have to worry when it is dinner time any more. I can leave it out and it is not a problem. Yeah! First a piece of another room for a crafty area, and then someday I will be able to have a whole ROOM set up for all my crafts and projects. A girl can dream right?
New Blog
Well... I decided to create a new blog that is dedicated to my "crafty" nature. I love doing all things crafty and so I decided to start a blog to keep me inspired to do things on a continual basis. I would like to post something up here at least once a week. I am sure that with the holidays coming I might have a little more than that..... or a little less if things get too crazy and busy. We will see.
I am hoping to include anything that is crafty. I will post cards, scrapbook pages, cooking, baking, decorations and things done around the house, etc. Whatever crafty things I can come up with.
I had to take a short hiatus from doing crafty things because I was working so much and taking college classes. Life recently changed and I want to take advantage of some "FREE" time and start working on some of the things that I enjoy doing. Besides, we all need to make some TIME FOR CRAFTS.
Hope you enjoy.
